INS 15th World Congress Barcelona

INS 2022: "Neuromodulation: From Scientific Theory to Revolutionary Therapy” I am honored to welcome you to the 15th World Congress of the International Neuromodulation Society – “Neuromodulation: From Scientific Theory to Revolutionary Therapy”. This theme intends to emphasize that. Neuromodulation therapies from deep brain stimulation for movement disorders, epilepsy, and psychiatric disorders, to spinal cord stimulation for chronic pain and locomotion, to sacral nerve stimulation for urinary and fecal incontinence, have all developed from rigorous scientific theory and have matured into proven clinical therapies. No longer considered mysterious or unproven, neuromodulation therapies now have a strong underpinning in scientific theory which has led to rigorous studies of mechanisms of action. These have ultimately led to the refinement and personalization of neuromodulation techniques. We intend to explore this in both depth and breadth at our conference here in Barcelona, Spain. Dr. Fabian Piedimonte, Dr. Elliot Krames, and I have worked to create a fascinating world-class, fascinating program that includes plenary sessions from experts from around the world, breakout symposia, panel discussions, oral abstract presentations, and poster sessions. These cover the basic science, mechanisms of action, and clinical effectiveness of the broad range of neuromodulation therapies. For our patients and the press, there is a Public Education Program. For those who wish to improve their neuromodulation techniques, the INS cadaver workshop will offer hands-on training in multiple neuromodulation procedures. For nurses and allied health practitioners we will run an interactive workshop entitled ‘The Patient Journey to Neuromodulation”. Our pre-conference, Innovations in Neuromodulation Day – Neuromodulation without Borders – will address innovation in neuromodulation from a regional perspective and will present a window to the future of our field. Our other pre-conference on Non-Invasive Brain Stimulation allows for a deep dive into this increasingly impactful area of neuromodulation. With strong basic science, engineering, and clinical science sections, the program spans the breadth of our rapidly growing field of neuromodulation. This promises to be the most important international neuromodulation meeting in years. After this unprecedented time, it is with great excitement and humility that the Executive Board Members, Scientific, and Congress Co-Chairs, and I welcome you to Barcelona!

Pain In Europe XII

Dear Friends and Colleagues, I am proud to announce the 12th Congress of the European Pain Federation EFIC® will be held in Dublin, Ireland from 27-30 April 2022. As Europe´s most important multi-disciplinary and multi-professional organisation in the field of pain science, we represent 37 constituent national pain societies with over 20,000 scientists, doctors, physiotherapists, nurses, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals. Our core domains of activity focus on education, research and advocacy. On behalf of the Federation it gives me great pleasure to invite you to the most prestigious and largest pain meeting in 2022. Under the theme of ‘Targeting pain and its co-morbidities in the digital age” we are planning an ambitious programme of lectures, workshops, refresher courses and networking initiatives on acute, chronic, cancer and non-cancer pain. In addition to the latest developments in basic science, we will focus on pain management from the primary care physician’s perspective, as well as multimodal interdisciplinary care. Professor Eija Kalso is leading an excellent, broad-based Scientific Programme Committee (SPC) building the in-person and virtual programme that will include established internationally known scientists, as well as younger fellows and postdocs. We all value the benefit of personal networking, and in Dublin you will once again be able to meet old friends, and hopefully develop new collaborative networks. A comprehensive Industrial Exhibition, and sponsored Satellite Symposia, will perfectly complement the scientific content. Değerli Meslektaşlarımız,Bildiğiniz gibi iki yılda bir gerçekleştirilen Ulusal Ağrı Kongremizin 16. sının Kasım 2020 de yapılması planlanmıştı. Ancak Covid-19 pandemisi nedeni ile diğer tüm kongreler gibi Ağrı Kongremizde ertelenmek zorunda kaldı. Derneğimiz yönetim kurulu durumun bilinmezliği ve belirsizlikler nedeniyle 16.Ulusal Ağrı kongresini 11-14 Kasım 2021 tarihinde Antalya Kemer’de Mirage Park kongre merkezinde düzenleme kararı aldı.Algoloji biliminin ilgi alanına giren her konu üzerinde zengin ve doyurucu oturumlarla donatacağımız kongremizde pek çok teorik ve uygulamalı kurs ile katılımcılarımızı ilgili konulardaki otörlerle bir araya getirmeye çalışacağız.Algoloji uzman ve asistanları, özellikle Algoloji yan dalı olan üç ana dalın uzman ve asistanları başta olmak üzere tüm hekimlerimizi davet ettiğimiz kongremizde bilimsel programın dışındaki saatler için de bizlere yakışır nitelikte ortamlar yaratmak amacındayız.Tüm dünyada sosyal hayatın durduğu, bütün toplantı ve kongrelerin ertelenmek zorunda kaldığı bu tatsız günlerin bir an önce geride kalması umudu ile 11-14 Kasım 2021 tarihinde 16. ULUSAL AĞRI E-SEMPOZYUMU 2021

Değerli Meslektaşlarımız,8-11 Nisan 2021 tarihinde Antalya Kemer’de Mirage Park kongre merkezinde düzenlemeyi planladığımız  16.Ulusal Ağrı kongresini pandemi nedeniyle ertelemek zorunda kaldık. Hepinizin bildiği gibi bunu  bir süre önce ön görerek web sayfamızda  bir anket çalışması yaptık. Bu anketle tespit ettiğimiz sizin görüşleriniz doğrultusunda 9-10 Nisan 2021 tarihinde Ulusal Ağrı E-Sempozyumu yapmaya karar verdik. Hepimiz yüz yüze yapılan kongrelerimizi çok özlesek de internet ortamında yapılan iyi organize edilmiş toplantıların bilimsel açıdan oldukça nitelikli olabileceğini bu dönemde  gözlemleme fırsatı bulduk. Bir buçuk günlük bir toplantı için oldukça kapsamlı ve nitelikli bir program oluşturduk. Sempozyum sonrası sizlerin de bu fikrimize katılacağınızı düşünüyoruz.Kongre ya da sempozyumların başarılı kabul edilmesinde  bilimsel programın doyuruculuğu, konuşmacıların doğru seçilmesi gibi pek çok faktörün içinde belki de en önemlisi katılımcı sayısının çokluğudur. Sempozyumun Algoloji uzman ve asistanları, özellikle Algoloji yan dalı olan üç ana dalın uzman ve asistanları başta olmak üzere tüm hekimlerimizin yoğun katılımı  ile çok başarılı olacağına eminiz.9-10 Nisan 2021 tarihinde Ulusal Ağrı E-Sempozyumunda buluşmak dileğiyle sağlıklı günler dileriz.
